Optical patch cords 1F SC-UPC (0.5) are made of an external cable of a dielectric design, reinforced with fiberglass rods, due to which they can be hung on power poles for spans up to 40 m.
The termination process itself takes place by adhesive bonding of fibers using special tools, as well as subsequent output control of the attenuation level of the optical signal.
Patchcords have special flexible endings from 30 cm long to any other at the request of the customer. The transition point from the PVC sheath of the cable to the flexible part is sealed with a heat-shrinkable tube with adhesive filling.
The finished patch cord has a weight of ~170 g for every 10 m of length.
